There are many communities for guerrilla gardeners. Many of us garden solo, and the community are the passers by who may take an interest. Some may turn out to want to help in some way, at some time. Sharing what you do online also builds a community which can offer encouragement and advice from near and afar. Some guerrilla gardeners want community support alongside them when gardening, for company, for encouragement, for labour, for creativity. Some are building a space in which to grow not just plants but the community itself.

My advice is to start small, simple and grow your community as your motivation and ambition grows. For 17 years this website hosted an online community forum where guerrillas could share and seek out like minded people by geographic region. I closed the forum in 2023 after relentless and unresolved spamming problems, lacking time or expertise to maintain a space in a way that was safe and pleasant. There are now new ways of building community online through social spaces and professional forums. These days my digital community exists through Twitter @Richard_001.
